Welcome to Glenderry National School, whatever your interest in our school, we are delighted that you are taking the time to learn a little more about us. Glenderry National School officially known as Scoil Naomh Erc is a mixed catholic primary school located outside the beautiful village of Ballyheigue overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in County Kerry.

We aim to provide a stable, safe and happy learning environment for all our pupils. We endeavour to promote good working relationships based on open communication between pupils, staff, management, parents and the wider community with which we interact.
Glenderry National School acknowledges that parents/guardians are the primary educators, our teachers work in cooperation with the child and the home to help each pupil each his/her potential. The School aims to promote the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the pupil. We foster a love of learning, working hard and developing a sense of respect and responsibility among our pupils. We wish to see balanced well rounded, self confident, mannerly and cooperative pupils.

Our Catholic ethos is central to all we strive to achieve in Scoil Naomh Erc, respect, honestly, justice, sincerity, courage and compassion.
Scoil Naomh Erc encourages students to participate in a wide ranging co-curricular and extra curricular programmes and in so doing nurture the holistic development of each child.

Glenderry national school is proud to be a Green School. We have received Green flags for: Litter and Waste, Energy, Water and Travel. We are now working on the exciting theme of Biodiversity.

Sports

The children of Glenderry national school learn to play a variety of sports in Physical Education. We are extremely lucky to have a state of the art astro pitch. We also have various sporting teams in the school

Music Classes

We provide music classes for the talented musicaians at Glenderry national school so that they learn the basics of different instruments.

Debate Team

We encourage our students to become confident and knowledgeable people and the inclusion of a debate team is a great way to encourage that behaviour.
